After enlisting in the U.S. Navy at the age of 17, Chris served 2 full enlistments with an honorable discharge at the age of 25. He earned his VFW eligibility as part of the USS Bunker Hill’s VBSS team with their deployment to the Gulf of Aden and Somalia in January 2007 in support of the Global War on Terror.  Since his discharge, he has been involved in the Veteran Community starting at a local College and then finding his way into the VFW. The VFW has meant a great deal to him, not only because of the people that he has met but also because of the veterans he has been able to help.  Whether it be with college courses, veterans’ resources or assisting a veteran with their disability claims.  Chris will state, it has been an honor to continue serving as VFW Post 3886 Commander for his community and the veterans of Western Ada and Canyon County Areas.
